During this internship I owned a number of projects and worked these through the whole design process. This involved liasing with stakeholders, working with developers and creating high fidelity designs that feel great for the user.
October is Cyber Security Awareness month. As part of this the company wanted to launch an email campaign as well as creating posters and t-shirts. The brief given was to make a cyber security logo to use on this content.
Creating a mood board helped me to think about the important factors to consider when creating this logo. I researched other successful logos and thought about the factors that made them a great design. I was also aware that the logo should fit with other marketing assets of the company. After brainstorming, I came up with some ideas.
For the final design, I ensured that it was simple and memorable as well as keeping in line with the brief and other marketing assets. The lock symbol is bold for instant recognition and so it is easily discernible from afar. The company name and text for what the logo represents is included with balanced spacing for extra clarity. This could be used for an email banner for example.

For this project I learnt about how colours work together and the psychological impact they can have. I also worked on typography styling and how to use different types of styling to draw attention and to make sure it was clear and satisfying. Composition was also a big part of making the logo visually appealing and balanced giving each element enough surrounding space.

The journey users will take, will be determined when they submit their email address. They system will then detect whether the user has an IdP or whether they will log in with email and password. This can be seen in the below user journey map.

Also included is help and support contact information should the users require these.
Consistency
They will expect a flow to work in a similar way to they have seen before and may be thrown by an unconventional presentation or change to the flow. This approach means users will be familiar with the platform and lets them navigate through without getting frustrated by unfamiliar layouts.

Consistency

Making elements visually distinctive
This will ensure that users will know the function of different elements without having to think too hard. For example, the call to action buttons in this flow are high contrast to the background, have a clear description of what they do and are lower contrast if they are not active at that time, signalling to the user that they need to complete an action before they can press this button.
This shows part of the high fidelity prototype on Figma. I was sure to keep company branding clear and in line with the existing design system. I am confident in making responsive designs using autolayout and using varients to create component sets.
For this project I was asked to create designs for a new AI chat. The pages required for the MVP included a landing page, the journey a user will take to ask a question and a chat history bar. This product is to be available on desktop, tablet and mobile.
For this project the developers had code for pre existing styling. I worked to adapt this styling, using our design system library, to incorporate our brand identity. I ensured that the colour, typography and other visual elements were consistent with brand guidelines and that the design was responsive to accommodate different screen sizes.

Importance of responsive design
It is important that the user experience was seamless and consistent across different devices to improve user satisfaction. It also ensures branding stays consistent, and that the company’s identity is recognizable across different platforms. By making sure that elements can resize and scale depending on screen size it ensures a coherent design. It also means that the design can easily adapt to new devices sizes without a complete redesign.
Check out this Pirum Chat Prototype. I like to animate matching layers to ensure transitions between screens are smooth and satisfying for the user.
For this project I was to create a form that uses identity provider (IdP) data to create an IdP connection on the company's Keycloak system. Users must be able to choose which information they wish to configure whether this be identity provider, XML or URL and then complete additional information fields based on these.
I started with creating a user journey map to inform my final design which can be seen below. This product will be used by client's IT team to configure log in method. 1) Asking the Right Questions
In this project I learnt the importance of finding out from the product owner exactly what the function of the product is and what the users' goals will be as well as clarifying some of the more technical points. With these clear goals in mind, I can use these to inform my designs and create a much better user experience.
2) The Importance of Collaboration in Design
I learnt to get feedback on ideas before going too far on a project. I have learnt to take on board feedback from the rest of the design team and use this to improve my designs. Throughout this project I have worked closely with the product owner and developers, presenting my ideas in meetings a

I learnt to get feedback on ideas before going too far on a project. I have learnt to take on board feedback from the rest of the design team and use this to improve my designs. Throughout this project I have worked closely with the product owner and developers, presenting my ideas in meetings and then solving problems together as a team. This has been insightful as it has allowed me to learn about how the developers build products. I have enjoyed collaborating as a team for this project as I was able to draw on the detailed product knowledge of the developers and combine with this with my design knowledge to solve problems and come up with a thoughtful design.
